What does your group/organisation do?

Tell us so that local decision makers know that you matter

The first ever Tameside Survey of Third Sector Groups and Organisations has recently been sent out across Tameside. This unique, important survey is vital for as many groups and organisations as possible to take part in. It is your chance to have a say on things that matter. Decision makers in Tameside will be taking notice of the results and will use the information it provides in policy decisions. However this research can only be effectively used to drive improvements in Tameside and your area if the response to this survey is significant.

So please take some time to respond before the deadline of June 5.

Your information is vital - please take just 10 minutes to fill in our survey online at http://tr.im/jAPX  or contact T3SC for a paper copy. See the survey page for more information about the survey.

Massive recognition for St Peter’s local heroes

Karen Butigan, Chief Executive of St Peter’s Partnerships was absolutely delighted, and pleasantly surprised, to discover that not one, but both of her nominations for the Development Trust Association’s (DTA) Local Government Community Hero Awards, had been successful!

She said: 'St Peter’s Ward Councillor, Jack Davis and Tameside Council employee Russell Yates have both been so helpful and important to the development of our organisation. I strongly felt they deserved to be nominated in the Awards which sought out those unsung heroes that really do make a difference. I am sure that their colleagues in the Council, at St Peter’s Partnerships and in the local community will all join me in congratulating them for this valuable and well deserved recognition.'

The awards will be made at an evening reception to be held at the DTA’s national policy symposium, Stepping up: Strategies for resilient communities in a time of economic downturn to be held in London in May.

Minibus donated to St Peter's community groups

Audenshaw based Mono® NOV has donated a minibus to St Peter’s Partnerships, a charity which runs a range of community-based projects and businesses in the local area.

The nine-seater minibus will be used by St Peter’s Partnerships to transport children, young people and other community groups to and from venues and events in and around Ashton-under-Lyne.

St. Peter’s Partnerships provides support and services to the local community of the St. Peter’s ward of Ashton-under-Lyne. Its aim is to bring people together to promote a range of community initiatives that have been developed to help tackle some of the underlying and long term difficulties of the regeneration area.

And YOU can benefit too!
From 1 May, the minibus will be available for use by other local community groups for a small donation towards its upkeep.
