Tameside Survey of
Third Sector
Groups and Organisations
What does your
group or organisation do? Tell us, so that local decision makers know
that you matter.
Tameside 3rd Sector Coalition (T3SC) is carrying
out the largest ever survey of the third sector in Tameside. The survey recognises
the increasingly important role the sector plays in both society and the
economy.
The Tameside Survey of Third Sector Groups and Organisations will
gather the views of the leaders of voluntary and community groups and
organisations, faith groups and social enterprises in Tameside. These
groups and organisations will also include co-operatives or mutuals,
non-profit organisations, housing associations, or trusts.
The survey will ensure Tameside third sector groups and organisations
and their partners will have accurate up to date information in order to
create an environment for a thriving third sector locally. It will give
local decision makers a more detailed picture of the sector to help
shape policy decisions at the local level. It will also provide valuable
evidence on the performance of local partnerships, funding
relationships, opportunities to influence local decision making, and
other issues facing the sector in Tameside.
Over 1000 third sector leaders will receive the survey in April and
results will be available by the end of July. The deadline for completed
surveys is 5 June 2009.
