Children Training
Tameside Safeguarding Children Board
(TSCB) runs a programme of training on safeguarding and promoting
the welfare of children for practitioners in Tameside working with
children, families and adults who are parents. TSCB courses are
facilitated by a pool of practitioner trainers.
We are currently seeking more practitioners to join our TSCB training
pool. If you feel you have skills and experience to share and enjoy
enabling others - then this opportunity could be for you.

Child Protection Training
11 December 2008 - 10am-1pm
This is a basic awareness raising session in promoting welfare and
safeguarding children. Its aim is to enable participants to recognise
concerns about children and respond appropriately.
By the end of the course you will:
-
Be aware of what is meant by child abuse and neglect
-
Be aware of your role in keeping children safe.
-
Be able to take the right steps to protect children
-
Be able to provide a safe environment for the children you work with.
The session involves some Power Point presentation, group work, flip chart work and exploring scenarios.
If you can't make these dates in order that you can access it anytime the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board invested £5000 in an e-learning package.
