Welcome to T3SC's latest E-Bulletin. I hope you like the new look. Below is a list of this months articles which link to the full article. It includes our latest funding bulletin, a list of events, training, news and new policies and reviews.

  • Communities in space
    An opportunity for anyone involved in community hubs to come together, share success, gain skills and access resources.

  • Communicating with Disabled Children
    This is a one day course designed to explore the issues around communicating with disabled children, including children with learning difficulties and communication difficulties.

  • Anti-bullying and cyber safety
    An Overview of the issues and preventive work in schools and in families, helping young people stay safe in personal relationships and stranger danger on line.

  • RNID Start to Sign Course
    A little sign language can go a very long way when it comes to basic communication with deaf customers or employees.
     

• New Policies and reports

  • Tameside Children and Young People’s Plan – New priorities for 2007- 2008
    Find out the new priorities from the recent children and young people’s plan, reviewed in consultation with the community.

  • New Scrutiny report
    The report reviews how the sector is working, its contribution and makes recommendations for the development of the sector. It looks at how important the role of the voluntary sector in enhancing public service delivery.

  • Youth Opportunity funding
    Awarding money to young peoples projects across Tameside.

  • Youth Action Grants funding
    If your group works with young people from Tameside why not apply for a grant.

  • Wanted - Youth Action Grants Panel members
    The grant making panel are currently looking for new members who have experience of working with young people.

  • Sage Community Fund and the Small Grants Fund
    Useful small grants for community groups.

  • New Opening Doors for Older People Fund
    Partnerships for Older People Projects (POPPs) have a new fund to provide
    groups and organisations with the opportunity to deliver new, innovative and creative projects and services for older people.

  • Chill Out for the Theatre Royal Hyde - Big band swing
    Theatre Royal Onward are raising funds to save the Theatre Royal Hyde with a Big Band Special at The Lowry, Salford.

  • Age Concern Tameside - Trustee event
    Age Concern Tameside are putting on an information afternoon/early evening, aimed at increasing awareness of opportunities currently available for becoming a voluntary Board member of local third sector organisations.
