Charity Bank

Charity Bank is the only regulated bank in the UK
that is also a registered general charity. And it’s the only bank that
uses its depositors’ funds solely to provide financial support and
advice to charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises
working to deliver vital services to communities
That makes it uniquely placed to help the sector. As a bank, it offers
affordable finance to organisations that might not be able to borrow
from commercial lenders, and which could otherwise struggle to survive.
And as a charity, it understands the funding environment, and the
importance of having access to the resources or skills required for a
more secure future.
Charity Bank has a mission: to help to transform the future for those
organisations that want to maximise their own mission impact.
Its assessors work with organisations to agree bespoke loan
finance solutions, from a few thousand pounds to £1 million, and for a
variety of needs, such as unsecured working capital, short-term bridging
loans against delayed grants, for buying or refurbishing a property, or
underwriting for a fund-raising programme.
It also provides leasing and asset finance to purchase equipment, from
IT systems to minibuses, and can offer Shariah-compliant trust loans (qard
hasan) and leasing (ijara).
